I have been to the Market at Del Val only a few times but each time has been a wonderful experience. The staff here is always so awesome, friendly and helpful. I will admit I had always heard great things about this market but I was a little surprised at how small it was, I thought it was going to be much larger. They have a small selection of items most are from local business which I love. Their prices are a tad high but they do have some great and unique items. I recently tried their deli on my last trip and I got the pork sandwich and oh boy was it delicious. The meat was super tender, cooked perfectly and just a touch of smokiness! I also got corn the other day and it was SO good my whole family loved it. Definitely a great place to stop in occasionally. Will continue to shop there.

This is a very nice small co op market that is operated by Del-Val students. Their selection is not that great and their prices are a little high. However, their quality is very good. I would classify most of the food is high quality. For example they have grass fed beef that was raised locally. There is also a little ice cream shop inside the store that makes excellent milkshakes. They have coffee you can either take with you or drink in the store.
The bottom line is this is a great place to shop for some farm store types of items and support the college at the same time. The ice cream is great.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Emmaline A.Cranbury Township, NJ1162414Jun 24, 2018
They have great events tailored to parents with young children. They have UNwined concerts in Friday nights in the summer where they offer beer and wine for the adults and have a bounce house and these driving cars for the kids. Bring your friends with children and have them run around while you relax. They have other events as well during the year.
They also have pick-your-own apples, peaches, strawberries among others during their growing season.
I personally love the uncle Dave's ice cream and the food from Just Foods. Very fresh! The outside sitting is nice during the spring/summer months and they have indoor sitting all year round.
Good for when you need to pick up something quick for dinner, but wouldn't necessarily shop there for all my groceries.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 23, 2017
This is a very nice large farm market that I frequent occasionally. The main thing I get here is the ice cream , it is amazing.
They also have a nice outdoor section with great plants, tress etc.Very nice quality of flowers and seasonal items.
They have gourmet food that looks really great , especially their deserts but the college kids on their cell phones behind the counter turn me away from trying the prepared foods.
They even have wine and have interesting events.
Ice cream is the star of this show.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michelle B.Willow Grove, PA638136Jun 27, 2018
What's better than buying and eating local, farm-fresh food? I can't say enough about this local gem.
The grounds, plants, farm tours/wagon rides, market, and counter service food are all amazing.
Gluten-Free? Yep! Lots of options at the prepared foods section, even real meals! One of the girls was really nice and even gave me info about which items (like egg salad over chicken salad) would be more celiac friendly over others. Ex: lots of salads such as shrimp, chicken, egg, potato, cabbage, beet, etc and they stock GF wraps so you can get a meal. They do have shared fryers though- no fries!
We love pick-your-own!! Supporting the farm and university along with delicious produce- win-win! The whole family loves the wagon farm tour too.
We get our herbs, potting plants and gardening accoutrements here- late April/early May they have a great selection, even hard to find varieties.
Lots of love for our local spot at Del Val!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 2, 2010First to Review
Del Val has nearly always had a farmstand - but when they tore down the old one on Rt. 202 years back, they built a MAMMOTH Market. It was pricey and closed.
Well, it re-opened and I gotta say it's better than ever.
We took our little one to the October Fun Weekend (Weekends in the fall from late September thru Halloween you can go on weekends from 11 AM - 4 PM).
It was a glorious 90 minute afternoon filed with organic produce, pony rides ($4 a pop) a corn maze, a FREE rope maze for little kids, Bouncy Castles ($2.00 a go) and free pumpkin painting (but you gotta buy the pumpkins - $.79 per lb.
Lots of mums, gourds and of course, Creamery Ice Cream
What a great place.
I hope they make it this time.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Anastasia J.Valencia, PA2885Jun 10, 2019
If you like something, get a lot of it, there is no guarantee it will still be there next time! I have had a couple of very good unique and filling meals at the Market, but since the menu changes so often it is hard to recommenced a favorite item! Most recently, I had the Almond Crusted chicken and a Berry Tart, both were delicious. The homemade chips are awesome as well (when they have them). Only complaint is that I wish they would have a better discount for DelVal Students (I believe it is only 10-15% usually).

Staffed by friendly kids that look like students. I wish it would be better...
The baked goods are not good; they lack that certain sweetness and flavor that good baked-goods have.
The prepared foods are good; love the macaroni salad. However from behind the counter, it's hit or miss. Yesterday I was sold chicken salad (usually fine) that smelled and tasted sour. This should not happen, especially at the high prices charged. The prepackaged baked goods are also a disappointment, and not the "home-baked" type, some of the items are not all-natural, and most have soybean oil (like grandma used to use?) in them (I am allergic to soybean, so admittedly this is a sore spot for me).
The produce and dry good selection is nice. The usual trendy Stonewall Kitchen fare.
The ice cream is not all-natural. Again, for a farm market, one would expect to find more natural selections, not items full of preservatives and artificial colors. (Even if the ice cream is bought from an outside vendor)
The flower and plant selection, and fruit picking (in season) is nice.
Overall, it's okay for some things, but mostly a wish for a better product selection and quality control.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lex P.Narberth, PA130Feb 17, 2011
I've been here several times, and overall I'd say it's decent. They sell a lot of different products - pasta, ice cream, fruit, vegetables, DiBruno Brothers products, crackers, pickles, condiments, and meat. They have raw milk, but what I like the most is their selection of pickles; some of them do not have Yellow 5 and stick with the traditional cucumbers and brine.
I'd recommend staying away from their creme brulee as the custard in it is overcooked.
Also, Delaware Valley College students get a small discount on most products (milk doesn't get a discount).Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Joan S.Doylestown, PA024Mar 12, 2017
The Market has a smaller selection of plants than the bigger nurseries, and are more expensive. Hanging baskets, birdseed, garden equipment is all more expensive here.
The food has been erratic. Sometimes it's VERY good, and other times i've had stale and
bad tasting food.....and again it's expensive. The check out people are erratic too. I only
go when I'm desperate for something since I live close by.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
